SPAY & NEUTER
PAWS stresses the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce unwanted births, to stop animal overpopulation and to protect the health and safety of the public. PAWS requires that all pets adopted from us must be spayed or neutered or the animal will be reclaimed.
PAWS of Hertford county has located a low-cost spay/neuter clinic just across the Virginia line in Boykin. We can make appointments for your animals to be spayed or neutered at this clinic. If you are unable to transport your animal to the clinic, we can help with transportation. Please call 252-642-PAWS (252-642-7279) for more information.
The single most important thing that everyone in the community can do to reduce suffering of animals is to have all their own animals spayed or neutered and to encourage others to do the same. This is the only way that the goal of "No more homeless animals" will ever be reached.
Remember, the ony baby your pet should have is a beanie baby.
